I agree on one thing with you, trance these days sounds alot like other trance mainly because of the famous "kick-clap" beat. However I, and other rebelious DJ's out there are trying to find a new beat suitable for future trance... listen to Hybrid - Finished Symphony - its trance with an all new beat, pretty dope.
